It's been a while since we started our blog and we've done absolutely no entries beyond the initial! Shame on us!!!

We do have an excuse -- went on vacation to PA and OH (cold, wet, and gray almost the entire time we were there, but the leaves were spectacular -- fall colors are the ONLY thing Charline misses about living in FL). Also started a new job as soon as we got back, but we should have been more active, regardless. We profoundly apologize!

We're very busy building inventory for the holidays and our site (artfire.com/users/2beadornot2bead) will be reflecting the surge in creativity soon. We'll be sure to pass on pictures/info as they are added. Look forward to a Holiday Sale promotion, too!

Well, have to get to work, so that's it for now!

What We Do

We are definitely eclectic in our interests -- jewelry, soap, acting and directing, travel, Steampunk, sculpture, music, cats, fishing, anime, sci fi, polymer and earth (kiln-fired) clay, painting, set and costume design, graphic arts and design, reading, and lots of other things not related to each other except by our fascination with them. These interests are alive and well represented in our Art Fire shop (artfire.com/users/2beadornot2bead).

We are, we hope, about to embark on a road trip to the north to visit family in PA and OH. It all hinges on a phone call I hope to receive today. More about that later. If this happens, we'll post "what I did on my vacation" at regular intervals. We're hoping to see the fall colors on this trip -- living in FL, we don't see much of a shift in seasonal color. For the most part, things get less or more green. It's not easy being green all the time, right Kermit?

Art Fire's 2 Bead or Not 2 Bead Shop has taken to the Ether

Charline and Tyra are 2 Bead or Not 2 Bead on ArtFire.com We started out planning to be a polymer clay bead store (the 2 Bead part of our title), but it quickly became obvious that our interests were too diverse to be just a bead store, hence "or NOT 2 Bead" part of it.

We have worked as polymer clay artisans for a little more than 6 months, but we also make handmade soap, computer graphics, and a lot of OTHER things that are in the process of coming to fruition on our shop -- ArtFire.com/users/2beadornot2bead. I guess you could say we are Jacquelines of all trades and sorta mistresses of many (crafts, that is!).

We are members of the Art Fire Polymer Clay Smooshers, Geekery, and Web Designers and Graphic Artists
Guilds.

We have been honored by winning the August and September Smooshers Guild challenges (the themes were Halloween and Steampunk, respectively).
